Dinamo to sign more Brazillians?

The chairman of Dinamo Zagreb, Zdravko Mamic has revealed to the Croatian press he intends to sign even more Brazilians to join Eduardo Da Silva, Mathias Chago and Oelilton Araujo dos Santos at the league leaders club. This comes in the week that Mamic announced the signing of Vasco da Gama’s attacker Anderson Costa. Anderson has been looking for a move to Europe for some time. At the start of 2005 he was loaned out to Spanish second division team Córdoba CF, where he enjoyed a successful time scoring 7 goals, but was unable to stop Córdoba CF from been relegated. In June, a permanent move to German side Hertha Berlin seemed agreed, before falling through at the last minute, so he returned to Vasco for the beginning of the Brazilian season. However, Anderson found it difficult to command a first team position along side the likes of Romario and Alex Dias in the Vasco line up. So a move away from the Brazilian giants looked inevitable. Marcelo da Silva a spokesman for Torcida Organizada do Vasco (the official Vasco da Gama supporters club) describes Anderson as “Not the greatest on the ball but has a luck of been in the right place at the right time”.

As well as Anderson Costa, Mamic has revealed his interest in signing Paraná Club’s central midfielder Thiago Neves Augusto, one of the revelations of last seasons Brazilian Championship. Paraná club is a relatively small team from the southern city of Curtibia in Paraná state. At only 20 years old Thiago made 29 appearances as a first team regular in the Brazilian championship and scored three goals helping his side finish in a respectable seventh place. However there are questions about the player’s discipline after earlier in the year when he was dropped from the first team for two games after arriving late for training. Paraná have already reputedly turned down an offer for the player of 800,000 EUR. However, in an interview on Thursday, on Curtibia station Rádio Banda B, Thiago announced that he is likely to join Japanese side Vegatta Sendai and will be travelling to Rio for a medical this weekend. However Thiago did seem a little hesitate over the move to Asia saying “after discussions with my agent it appears that this move [to japan] is the best offer available to me, right now”.

What do you guys think?

With Da Silva as Croat now, there are 2 brasilians, Anderson Costa and Etto in Dinamo + 2 young ones on trial but don't think they'll stay..

If they are better then our players then why not to sign few of them - it seems like it was decades ago when dinamo was playing CL and I wanna watch that live once again
